BRUSSELS – 25 January 2018 – ResMed today announced its membership in MedTech Europe, a trade association whose mission is to make innovative medical technology and connected health solutions available to more people, while helping healthcare systems move toward a sustainable path.
MedTech Europe represents roughly 26,000 businesses in the world’s second largest medtech market, estimated at €110 billion ($120 billion) in 2015. The trade association maximizes patients’ access to and use of health-improving, cost-saving medical innovations through:
- Promoting health economics research to show the benefits of medtech; and
- Helping shape pro-medtech policies by directly engaging European Union regulators, politicians and other decision-makers.
